Grace McCord
Grace McCord was born and raised in Hays, Kansas, and loved it so much she decided to stay and pursue her education at Fort Hays State University. She is majoring in Political Science and minoring in both History in Sociology with certificates in Gender Studies and Global Leadership. She is fiercely dedicated to gender equity and community and civic engagement, making her work as an Education and Prevention Specialist for Jana’s Campaign personally meaningful.
As Education & Prevention Specialist, Grace is responsible for creating, coordinating, and delivering educational programs aimed at preventing domestic and dating violence, sexual violence, and stalking. Her work will encompass initiatives in middle and high schools, on college campuses, as well as broader community-based programs.
Grace is actively involved on campus and in the community. Some of her favorite activities include serving as president of her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, working as the Legislative Affairs Director for Student Government, and coaching youth softball. In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing, cooking, fellowshipping with friends and family, and traveling.
