Knowledge is Power: 2025 Prevention Fundraising Initiative
At Jana’s Campaign, we believe education is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent gender and relationship violence. That’s why we’re proud to launch our 2025 Knowledge is Power: Prevention Fundraising Initiative, a collective effort to raise $100,000 by December 31 to support and sustain our violence prevention education programming. This initiative includes three key components, each rooted in our mission to equip students, educators, and communities with the knowledge and tools to prevent relationship violence before it starts.
Part 1: Back to School
As students return to classrooms this fall, so do we. The start of the school year is one of the most important windows for reaching young people with life-changing, and often life-saving, education.
We continue to see an overwhelming need for prevention programming in schools, and a growing number of requests from educators across Kansas and beyond. Your support helps us meet that demand and ensures that students have access to the tools they need to recognize unhealthy relationship behaviors, practice empathy and respect, and speak up when they see disrespect taking place.

Part 2: Empty Place at the Table
Join us for Empty Place at the Table on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Hays, KS. This powerful annual event honors Jana’s life and the countless others lost to gender-based violence. It’s also a night of hope—celebrating the progress we’ve made and recommitting ourselves to the work that remains. Proceeds directly fund our prevention education efforts.
Part 3: End-of-Year Giving
As we close out 2025, we invite you to help us finish strong. Your year-end gift will ensure that our programs continue into the new year, reaching more students, more schools, and more communities.
We often hear from students, teachers, and parents about how our programs have made a difference; how they’ve changed the way young people see themselves, their relationships, and their future. But we cannot continue this work alone.
