Our Story
|
Jana's Campaign is a national education and violence-prevention organization dedicated to preventing gender and relationship violence in all its forms. Rooted in the impactful legacy of Jana Lynne Mackey and grounded in the experiences of other victims and survivors, we work to reduce the occurrence of domestic and dating violence, sexual violence, and stalking. What started as a grassroots initiative in Jana's name has evolved into a comprehensive effort to educate, empower, and mobilize communities across the country. We partner with K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and community organizations to deliver prevention education, provide professional training, encourage and influence policy development, and develop public awareness initiatives.

What People Are Saying About Our Work
"I am a huge fan of Jana’s Campaign. I often reflect on the presentations your organization delivered when I was a student in my freshman health class. Those presentations left a lasting impression on me, and it feels especially meaningful to now have the opportunity to engage with Jana’s Campaign in my professional capacity as a young professional." - Young Professional from Clay Center, KS "I overheard two students in the hall discussing what they learned from Jana’s Campaign at the FCCLA [Family, Career, & Community Leaders of America] Colorado Regional conference. They were worried about a friend’s relationship and concluded that they needed to speak directly to the friend (who didn’t attend the conference) and then have the friend talk to a school counselor. Jana’s Campaign’s message obviously made a difference." -High School Teacher/FCCLA Co-Consultant, Colorado |
"I love what you all are doing to educate teens on this topic. It is a sensitive topic in nature, but they definitely need to learn about what can happen. Thank you for doing educational lectures in classrooms that want/need it! I will continue to use you as a resource as long as I can! - Brittney Potter, Seaman High School Family & Consumer Science Teacher, Topeka, KS "Jana’s Campaign has done so much good for so many!! An excellent tribute to Jana!!" - Elmer Finck, Supporter and Facebook Follower “Thanks for the incredible work you do. Making Kansas proud.”- Kathleen Kelly Daughety, Supporter and Facebook Follower |
