Jana’s Campaign is excited to announce that we will be moving into our new administrative headquarters March 1st. Our new location will be Suite 305 at the Hadley Office Center. Our new office suite and conference room/classroom will be a great environment for our board members, staff and volunteers. We would like to thank all of our donors for making this possible.

Maddie Peters, a Hays(Kansas) High School student introduced the “Circle of 6” phone app to her peers during Dating Violence Awareness Week last December. “Circle of 6” is a free app that can be downloaded to your phone that provides a safety network during a crisis situation. Maddie is an intern with the Women’s Leadership Project and Jana’s Campaign. KSU graduates, Curt and Christie Brungardt, are being recognized as 2013 Alumni Fellows by the Kansas State University Alumni Association. Each year the KSU Alumni Association recognizes several outstanding alumni who have made an impact in their career fields and in their communities. The Brungardts’ are the first couple to receive this recognition. On February 20-21, they will be guest speakers in several classrooms on campus. They will conclude their activities by providing a university-wide presentation on gender-based violence. Curt and Christie Brungardt will be keynote speakers along with Patricia Byron from Louisville, KY at this year’s Kansas Victim’s Rights Conference in Wichita. With their presentation: “Victim Activism: Two Stories of Persistence, Courage and Social Change,” they will share their experiences with the system and the subsequent evolution into victim activism. Over 500 Kansans involved in the criminal justice system and victim advocacy will be attending this year’s conference. Jana’s Campaign is accepting applications for program director. This position includes responsibilities for both organization development and the implementation of program activities. Screening of applicants begins February 1, 2013.
Jana’s campaign officially kicked off its initial fundraising effort on the weekend of October 13-14, 2012. The focus of this capital campaign is to raise needed funds so we may carry out our mission of reducing partner violence. The goal of our capital campaign is to raise $100,000 over the next nine months.
